The Role
Perform research, querying, and analysis of complex Medicaid claim and encounter data to identify fraud trends.
Assist in designing, writing, and executing data queries using SQL and other programming languages.
Implement advanced statistical models and data algorithms.
Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analysis using SQL queries and software applications.
Research and understand medical coding systems and guidelines (CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG, EAPG).
Examine and analyze financial, billing, and healthcare records to support investigations.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in informatics, data science, mathematics, computer science, statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
One year of experience performing data science or informatics data work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets with macros and advanced functions.
Basic skills and experience with medical coding terminology and systems (CPT, HCPCS, ICD9, ICD10).
Basic knowledge of medical billing processes.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat.
