About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Applied Materials. In this role, you will work on developing advanced software solutions for our semiconductor manufacturing equipment, focusing on real-time control systems, automation, and data analytics. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree with at least one year of professional experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with three or more years of relevant experience. Proficiency in C and C++ programming is essential. Experience in real-time control, motion control, embedded programming, multi-threading, CAN Bus, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, and Matlab is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a capacity to analyze complex technical challenges are required. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients. A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of challenging software issues, including designing and deploying bug fixes.
Create intuitive and efficient user interfaces, prototypes, and detailed software specifications.
Develop comprehensive test plans for simulators, test benches, and laboratory environments to ensure software quality and performance.
Produce detailed software documentation to facilitate maintenance and future development efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to analyze requirements, troubleshoot software problems, and coordinate project timelines.
Design algorithms to optimize atomic-scale material deposition and removal processes.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback and new technological advancements to enhance software functionality.
