About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join Uncover’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining the core models that power our sales coaching and roleplay products. Your work will directly impact how sales teams improve their performance by providing real-time insights and personalized coaching based on authentic sales call data. You will own the entire lifecycle of our models—from training and fine-tuning open-source models to deploying them in production environments, including on-device applications where privacy and latency are critical. Additionally, you will develop robust evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and regression suites to ensure continuous improvement and reliability of our models. Collaboration with founders, product managers, and fellow engineers will be key, as you will have significant input into the future development of our platform and its capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.

Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.

Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

Experience with fine-tuning and deploying open-source models, including on-device deployment and optimization techniques such as quantization and distillation.

Solid understanding of evaluation metrics, benchmarking, and regression testing for machine learning systems.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with cross-functional teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and innovation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and refine machine learning models that underpin Uncover’s sales roleplay, scoring, and coaching tools.

Train and fine-tune open-source models to meet specific performance, cost, and latency requirements.

Deploy models into production environments, including on-device applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Build and maintain evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and regression suites to monitor model performance over time.

Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to identify opportunities for model improvements and new features.

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to uphold high engineering standards.

Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, applying innovative techniques to improve our platform.
