Job Description
The Software Engineer, IT Infrastructure role at Google focuses on developing and managing database solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The position requires collaboration with manufacturing partners and engineering teams to structure data content and pipelines. Engineers will be involved in the entire lifecycle of database solutions, from requirement gathering to maintenance. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in creating and managing managed databases on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) like Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Bigtable.
5 years of experience in developing ETL software solutions using C, C++, software frameworks, and Python.
5 years of experience developing automation using Terraform.
5 years of experience in developing analytical reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with manufacturing partners and engineering teams in structuring the data content and data pipelines.
Architect, design, develop, test, and maintain database software applications on GCP.
Create managed databases on GCP and develop software applications for ETL pipelines.
Follow software development standards and implement best practices in documenting user requirements, design, coding, and testing of database solutions.
Partner with cross-functional teams, leadership, engineers, program managers, and data scientists to understand business and application needs.
