Backend Software Engineer, PDP Experience
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Backend Software Engineer, PDP Experience to join the team of a leader in the Media space.
This role will focus on building and improving backend systems that support a high-traffic consumer experience. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to shape technical direction, deliver reliable features, and help balance speed, quality, and maintainability. The position calls for someone who is comfortable contributing across the full development lifecycle in a remote, collaborative environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $164,000 – $229,000 annually
Responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally on product strategy
Contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle
Participate actively in team strategy discussions
Advocate for best practices in developer workflow
Balance quality with speed in product development
Continuously improve both technical and soft skills
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby
Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias toward action
Excellent communication skills in a remote environment
