About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Media Experience to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

In this role, you will help build and scale engaging media experiences that reach a global audience. You will partner closely with product and design teams to translate ideas into polished, high-quality features from concept through launch. This position offers the opportunity to improve media performance, support distributed systems at scale, and contribute to a fast-moving engineering organization in a remote environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $190,000 – $267,000 annually

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product and design teams to bring innovative products to life

Engage in the end-to-end development process from design to launch

Review code and design documents, providing constructive feedback

Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices

Balance rapid development with maintaining high quality

Work with various engineering teams to optimize media performance globally

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

3+ years in large-scale distributed systems

5+ years of software development using languages like Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++

Experience with API design and technologies like GraphQL and REST

Proficient in distributed caching and data storage systems, e.g., Redis

Familiarity with media processing technologies and streaming protocols

Strong organizational and communication skills in a remote setting
