About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (RoR/Go), SSCS: Authentication to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will play a key part in shaping authentication capabilities across a modern SaaS environment, with a strong focus on secure access, token management, and identity-related services. You will partner closely with engineering peers to evolve core platforms from the monolith into more scalable service-based architectures. The work will have direct impact on security, maintainability, and the reliability of critical user authentication experiences.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $139,200 – $235,200 annually

Responsibilities

Contribute to the direction and roadmap of authentication services

Design and implement authentication features across the Rails monolith and authentication services

Migrate authentication and token management paths from the monolith into authentication services

Build authentication mechanisms like Workload Identity Federation

Enhance security through robust access management and vulnerability resolution

Solve complex technical problems in Go and Ruby codebases

Define and improve internal standards for code quality and maintainability

Qualifications

Professional experience with Go and/or Ruby in mission-critical SaaS products

Familiarity with authentication technologies like OAuth, SAML, and OIDC

Knowledge of token systems, cryptographic signing, and key management

Experience building or contributing to services from concept to production

Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal

Experience with performance and optimization issues in software

Agile familiarity with effective work management and prioritization
