Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Authoring Experience

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Authoring Experience to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This role will shape the architecture and delivery of customer-facing platform services that support important enterprise workflows. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to build reliable experiences, define technical standards, and drive large-scale improvements across the platform. The position blends backend depth with modern frontend work, with a strong focus on scalable systems, thoughtful service design, and high-quality execution.
You will also help strengthen engineering practices through documentation, RFCs, decision records, and mentorship, while using AI tools to improve development efficiency.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
Responsibilities
Own the architecture and rollout strategy for critical platform services
Set the technical standards for customer-facing APIs, ensuring security and reliability
Integrate services across the platform for cohesive customer use cases
Advance team documentation through driving RFCs and decision records
Mentor team members, enhancing team review capacity and culture
Develop with TypeScript and Node.js, contributing to React experiences
Leverage AI tools to improve development workflows
Qualifications
8+ years of backend development in reliable, scalable systems
Experience designing and shipping external product APIs
Fluency in service boundaries and system design
Comfortable with a modern frontend codebase, especially React
Track record of driving complex initiatives to completion
Experience with safe large-scale system rollouts and deprecations
Strong written communication and mentorship skills
Willingness to learn and apply AI tools to enhance work efficiency
