Staff Software Engineer: Growth Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer: Growth Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will focus on building and scaling the software experiences that support growth across the product and user journey. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable full-stack solutions that improve usability, performance, and operational effectiveness. The position calls for someone who can lead technically complex initiatives, strengthen core platform capabilities, and help drive secure, compliant development in a highly regulated environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $161,000 – $203,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead full stack product development with a focus on backend
Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs using Python frameworks
Create web and mobile user interfaces with React and React Native
Engineer reusable systems for complex applications
Ensure compliance with HIPAA/GDPR and best security practices
Write and execute technical plans for large cross-functional projects
Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives across teams
Qualifications
8+ years of software development experience in general-purpose languages
2+ years of full-stack web development with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiarity with the tech stack or comparable systems expected within 30 days
Demonstrated ownership in problem decomposition and solution delivery
Experience writing tech specs/RFCs for multi-domain initiatives
Background in building and maintaining GraphQL/REST APIs
Experience scaling relational databases and writing efficient queries
