Senior Software Engineer, Fleet Intelligence Agent Systems
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Fleet Intelligence Agent Systems to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.
This role will focus on building and evolving agent software that supports fleet telemetry, observability, and health monitoring across GPU-enabled systems and related components. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to improve inventory, identity, data export, and service lifecycle capabilities in a distributed Linux environment. The position also involves contributing to open-source software and strengthening the reliability, security, and manageability of fleet operations at scale.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $152,000 – $287,500 annually
Responsibilities
Design and develop agent software for the company's fleet intelligence system.
Build telemetry and health collection for GPUs and related components.
Develop workflows for inventory, identity, and backend data export.
Enhance Kubernetes deployments and service lifecycle management.
Contribute to open-source software for agent and collector use.
Implement out-of-band collection using Redfish and BMC interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for GPU fleet observability.
Qualifications
5+ years in software engineering with a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Go for Linux software development, including services and daemons.
Familiar with Rust or willing to learn for collector development tasks.
Strong knowledge of Linux systems and diagnostics.
Experience with telemetry, observability, and fleet management systems.
Background in contributing to open-source projects with best practices.
Familiarity with secure credentials and service authentication.
