Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will shape the shared cloud foundation that supports core engineering and operational needs across the organization. You will partner closely with software engineers and technical stakeholders to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to incident response, disaster recovery, and automation efforts that strengthen the overall platform. In addition, you will help advance modern infrastructure practices that support AI-native application development.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $168,000 – $193,725 annually
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate shared cloud infrastructure using modern tech stacks.
Lead SRE and DevOps initiatives to enhance system reliability and scalability.
Create reusable infrastructure modules and automation for improved developer experience.
Implement service-level indicators and objectives for critical systems.
Participate in incident response and operational improvements through effective runbooks.
Enhance disaster-recovery readiness via planning and remediation testing.
Optimize CI/CD workflows for faster deployment and feedback.
Qualifications
4+ years in software, infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog, Databricks, and Terraform in production environments.
Strong interest in building AI-native applications and systems, notably with Databricks and open source AI tools.
Proven ability to write reliable and maintainable software across infrastructure and application boundaries.
Knowledge of reliability concepts including SLIs, SLOs, and disaster-recovery objectives.
