Software Engineer II, Delivery
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II, Delivery to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This engineer will focus on building the tooling and services that support safe, reliable software delivery across the organization. The role will partner closely with engineering teams to improve release quality, reduce production risk, and create self-service workflows that make deployments more efficient. This is a hands-on software engineering position with opportunities to strengthen observability, automation, and operational confidence across the delivery lifecycle.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $142,000 – $196,600 annually
Responsibilities
Build and enhance services and automation for safe software releases
Develop reliable deployment capabilities to mitigate production risks
Enhance visibility into deployment changes and system performance
Diagnose issues in delivery systems and implement long-term solutions
Streamline release workflows into reusable, self-service capabilities
Integrate AI to improve software delivery efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience
Experience with production software development in multiple programming languages
Background in designing, testing, and operating production software or infrastructure
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and developer tooling
Proven history of independently delivering well-defined software engineering projects
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and an interest in evolving their use
