## About the Role

TikTok is looking for a talented Software Engineer Intern to join the Lead Ads team. This internship provides an opportunity to work on scalable software systems that help businesses generate leads, connect with customers, and improve advertising performance.

The Lead Ads team works across the end-to-end advertising technology stack, including user experiences, ad delivery and ranking, lead management, CRM integrations, and supporting data systems.

As an intern, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while gaining hands-on experience developing reliable, scalable software solutions.

## Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and reliable software solutions aligned with product requirements and business goals.
• Build features supporting lead ad management, CRM integrations, and related advertising systems.
• Contribute to backend services, data pipelines, and large-scale software applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver new initiatives.
• Participate in debugging, testing, optimization, and code reviews.
• Apply software engineering best practices to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Gain practical experience working with modern software technologies in a large-scale technology environment.

## Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Go, C, C++, or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas and develop structured solutions.
• Understanding of modern software technologies, including backend systems, frontend applications, and data pipelines.

## Preferred Skills

• Experience developing scalable backend systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale applications.
• Knowledge of data processing and pipeline technologies.
• Experience with APIs and CRM integrations.
• Understanding of software development and testing practices.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative and cross-functional teams.

## Internship Details

This internship is designed to provide students with practical industry experience and exposure to real-world software engineering projects. Interns will have opportunities to participate in technical development, professional workshops, and team activities.

The internship is expected to run for approximately 12 weeks during the summer internship period. Candidates should clearly indicate their availability and expected start and end dates on their resume.
