Backend Software Engineer – Mid-Senior (Java / Python / C#) – Investment Banking
$120,000–$160,000 + bonus & benefits | Florida | 5 days onsite | Permanent

Backend Software Engineer to join the Florida team, working on complex, business-critical technology within financial markets. A hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, designing scalable systems and taking ownership, while still writing and shipping code.
You’ll work across backend development, system design and technical leadership, as well as collaborating directly with clients to integrate technology into their environments.
What we’re looking for:
Strong backend software engineering experience
Commercial experience with Java, Python or C#
Experience designing and building scalable systems and microservices
Strong problem-solving and software design skills
Experience with code reviews
Ability to mentor and support other engineers
Comfortable working directly with clients and technical stakeholders
Experience with some of the following would be particularly useful:
Java
Kafka
Kubernetes and containerised microservices
Azure or other cloud platforms
Cucumber / BDD
Automated testing
Distributed systems
Salary: $120,000–$160,000 + bonus & benefits
Location: Florida
Working pattern: onsite 5 days a week
