  • About the Opportunity:

The Data Scientist 4 role focuses on supporting AI implementations and data science solutions within federal government projects. The position plays a critical role in developing, managing, and delivering analytical products and insights that inform client decisions. The role contributes by applying emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, to improve data processing, governance, and project outcomes.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Implement and promote the use of AI, large language models, machine learning, and automation tools.
  • Lead AI monitoring and evaluation workflows.
  • Analyze, visualize, and interpret federal datasets.
  • Manage delivery of analytical products, reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
  • Oversee the data lifecycle, including intake, storage, governance, and synthesis.
  • Establish policies and procedures for effective data management and analytics delivery.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC protocols, defect tracking, and data governance standards.
  • Serve as the primary technical and operational contact for clients and project leadership.
  • Manage project priorities, resource planning, workload coordination, and schedules.
  • Evaluate AI-enabled tools to enhance data processing and workflow automation.
  • Support proposal development, technical solutioning, project planning, and business development.
  • Collaborate with teams to communicate insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Promote continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in analytics and data science.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years, Master's plus 7 years, or PhD plus 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in informatics, statistics, data science, computer science, economics, social science, public health, mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of AI tools, large language models, machine learning concepts, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience managing analytics projects and client deliverables.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, and/or R.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and SourceTree.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in data science and AI.
  • Consulting experience with direct client engagement.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting proposal and business development efforts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance and complete federal background check.
  • Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
