Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Artificial Intelligence Engineer role based in New York, NY. The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will design, develop, and deploy AI models that enhance employee workflows and integrate with collaboration platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail, and Outlook. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing pattern recognition and neural network-based systems, implementing and fine-tuning NLP models, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions. The role involves writing production-quality code, conducting experiments and evaluations to measure impact in hours saved and dollars returned, and maintaining robust, secure, and reliable AI services. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the AI infrastructure and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, including familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and model training, evaluation, and optimization.
Proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including working with large language models, text classification, entity extraction, and conversational AI.
Experience integrating AI solutions into production systems and APIs, ideally within collaboration tools or enterprise SaaS environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, fast-paced startup environment, with strong problem-solving skills and clear, concise communication.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD practices, and basic MLOps concepts is beneficial.
Interest in human-centered AI and measuring business impact of AI solutions in real-world workflows is a plus.
