Common Criteria Software Engineer
About the role
Piper Companies is seeking a Common Criteria Software Engineer to develop and enhance a platform that provides real-time visibility into Common Criteria (CC) certification programs and projects within the cybersecurity industry. The Common Criteria Software Engineer will build a centralized solution that enables stakeholders to track certification status, testing progress, milestones, risks, and overall program health across multiple security certification efforts. The Common Criteria Software Engineer can work remotely in Eastern time zone and is a long term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities of the Common Criteria Software Engineer:
Design, develop, and maintain a web-based platform for tracking Common Criteria certification programs and projects.
Build real-time dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into certification status, milestones, risks, deliverables, and testing progress.
Integrate data from multiple internal systems, project management tools, document repositories, Common Criteria testing tools, and FIPS testing environments into a unified platform.
Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, automated notifications, and workflow solutions to streamline certification tracking and stakeholder reporting.
Collaborate with security teams, program managers, certification stakeholders, and business leaders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Requirements of the Common Criteria Software Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications.
Strong full-stack development experience with Python and React.
Experience developing APIs, microservices, dashboards, workflow automation tools, and reporting platforms.
Experience integrating data from multiple systems and data sources.
Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and/or Go.
Strong cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases; experience working in Agile environments.
Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, cybersecurity, or compliance program experience preferred.
Compensation for the Common Criteria Software Engineer:
$100,000 - $160,000, depending on experience
