Senior Software Engineer

The Role
Take ownership of solution design and implementation for scalable, highly available services powering a next-generation product discovery platform.
Mentor other engineers and help shape the team's technical direction.
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to translate requirements into world-class features.
Design and implement new services, APIs, and operational monitoring functions.
Own production services end-to-end, including investigating issues, resolving bottlenecks, and identifying opportunities to improve reliability.
Drive the identification and prioritization of technical debt.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience.
6+ years of relevant professional technology experience.
Deep understanding of REST, service architecture, monitoring, and horizontal scalability.
Experience developing complex and highly available services in a production environment with SLAs.
Extensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design patterns.
Proven experience developing and owning production services and applications deployed in AWS or Google Cloud Platform, leveraging containers, CI, and codified infrastructure.
Extensive experience using Node.js, TypeScript, and the NestJS framework, with some knowledge of Java and GraphQL.
