About The Role

We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for experienced software engineering professionals to join our team as a Software Engineer III within JPMorgan Chase's Commercial & Investment Bank division. In this role, you will be a vital member of an agile development team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions that support the firm's strategic objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in building trusted, market-leading products that enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. You will work across multiple technical domains, employing innovative approaches and leveraging advanced tools, including AI-assisted development environments, to optimize code quality and delivery speed. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, complemented by at least three years of practical experience in software development. Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing enterprise-approved AI-assisted coding tools, such as for code generation, troubleshooting, and documentation, is essential, along with the ability to critically evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security. A solid understanding of responsible AI practices, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to security standards, is required. Candidates should have a strong grasp of agile methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security protocols. Experience in documenting and executing test scenarios, especially using Business Driven Development methodologies like Gherkin, is highly desirable. Additionally, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple critical testing activities under tight deadlines is essential. Familiarity with banking or financial services sectors, particularly in Payments Message Processing/Validation formats such as ISO20022, is a plus. Proficiency with tools like Selenium, Python, Java, Cucumber, JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable code that aligns with enterprise standards and best practices.

Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, improve code quality, and accelerate delivery timelines, while conducting thorough peer reviews and automated testing to validate outputs.

Develop detailed architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring compliance with design constraints and business requirements.

Gather, analyze, and visualize large and diverse data sets to support continuous improvement initiatives and inform decision-making processes.

Identify hidden patterns and potential issues within data and systems proactively, leveraging insights to optimize system architecture and coding hygiene.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, and Technology to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.

Monitor, report, and manage testing defects, supporting the re-testing process and ensuring quality standards are met before release.

Represent the testing team in project meetings, providing updates and insights, and deputizing for the Test Manager when necessary.

Validate and present test results for internal approval, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to quality benchmarks.

Work independently on daily tasks, managing multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
