About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at Atlassian. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that enhance our product offerings and improve user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality features and functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building innovative tools that empower teams globally.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in software development, preferably with experience in Java, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and best practices.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for Atlassian products.

Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and ensure best practices are followed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Maintain and improve existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative technologies into projects.

Assist in mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge across the team.
