Full Stack Software Engineer II - Backend Focus with Security Clearance

Job Description SALARY RANGE $143,000 - $200,000/year. DUTIES As a successful candidate for the Full Stack Software Engineer II, you will join Section 7 DAT, a forward-deployed development team providing critical mission support to CNO. In this role, you will work closely with analysts and operators to engineer software solutions for complex CNE problems across every stage of the pipeline. You will work directly alongside operators to build custom tools and deliver analytics platforms that help users better understand their data and inform national security decisions. Tackling complex big data challenges, you will build thoughtful, robust solutions that maximize mission gain for key mission partners. Required Skills SKILLS * Development of robust data transforms across varied formats, including Text, JSON, XML, configs, and databases
Requirements gathering and end-user engagement to translate customer needs into technical application features
Exploratory data analysis to assist analysts in uncovering insights from unstructured and complex datasets
Performance optimization of applications and processing pipelines to increase data throughput and usability
Server framework development and sysadmin support to ensure high availability for mission-critical CNO infrastructure QUALIFICATIONS Eight (8) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Additional requirements: * Strong experience with Python
Knowledge of dataframes (pandas, polars)
Knowledge of SQL as a language and different database flavors (SQLite, Postgres, MySQL)
Understanding of git and GitLab for source control
Familiar with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework
Be comfortable working directly with customers and having direct feedback Desired Skills NICE-TO-HAVES * AWS Certifications
DevOps CI/CD Experience
Experience with agency data processing and data storage
Experience developing using AI Agents
