DentalFynd is an AI marketplace platform that enables purchase of dental services like cleanings, whitenings, and aligners. We are located remotely wherever you are with preference for those in the NYC and Washington state areas.
Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Software Engineer at DentalFynd. The Software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, programming, and object-oriented programming (OOP). Daily tasks include developing and maintaining software systems, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the team. Full Stack experience a plus. Ideal role if you're a grad student, looking to transition into tech/startups, or re-entering the workforce after a career break.
Compensation will consist solely of equity to start with a path to salary once full time depending on performance.

What will I be doing?
Fixing bugs on website
Creating mobile app
Populating our database
Scouring and aggregating web data
Building AI sales pipeline
Improving infrastructure scalability and resilience
Work closely with Sales and Marketing to define and deliver new products and enhancements
Qualifications
2-4 years of professional software development experience
Experience with Java, Python, C++ and other programming languages
Knowledge SQL, noSQL, graph and/or timeseries databases, e.g MongoDB
Experience with AWS or other public cloud provider, containerized deployments, Kubernetes, Docker
Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, GWT, Spring MVC)
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Experience with database management and APIs
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Previous experience building payments products is a plus
Experience in the healthcare or dental industry is a plus
