About The Role

We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our team as IT Data & AI Science Interns for the Fall Rotation at BMW Financial Services NA, LLC. This part-time internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, and software development within a leading automotive financial services company. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the internship runs from September 8, 2025, through December 12, 2025, providing a comprehensive exposure to real-world AI and data analytics projects. Interns will work closely with experienced data scientists and IT professionals, contributing to innovative use cases, supporting AI model development, and enhancing their technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not limited to major coursework).

Completed at least 60 college credit hours by the time of application.

Field of study: Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Interest in AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

Participate in daily and weekly stand-up meetings to coordinate project activities and share progress updates.

Assist in developing and implementing AI and data science use cases aligned with business objectives.

Support the presentation of project progress and successes to stakeholders, emphasizing AI and Generative AI initiatives.

Contribute to software development activities, including coding, testing, and debugging AI models and data pipelines.

Help organize and facilitate internal analytical community events, such as data and analytics symposiums.

Optimize joint development efforts by utilizing appropriate databases and designing efficient project workflows.

Collaborate with data scientists to build, monitor, and improve AI models, ensuring accuracy and performance.

Assist in the documentation of processes, tools, and models to support ongoing and future projects.
