Job Title: C2BMC Software Engineer E5Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated C2BMC Software Engineer E5 responsible for providing in-depth analysis and technical support for systems software products. This role involves resolving complex problems, engaging in design, development, testing, operational integration, and offering user support. The candidate will work on specifications to develop or modify operating system applications and assist in the design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.

Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems and set standards.

Maintain flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Java and C++.

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of server-side development and message passing.

Experience developing enterprise applications.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience as an alternative to a degree.

Understanding of software engineering and software development with Java/J2EE experience.

Knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration management.

Understanding of standard systems engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.

Experience with MS Office products.

Knowledge of DevSecOps and/or build management.

Work Environment

The position requires working 100% onsite in Springs, HWY 83. The role involves a fast-paced environment, demanding effective teamwork and flexibility. The work involves using various software development and management tools such as Git, JIRA, Confluence, Nexus, and Eclipse.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
