About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, reliable, and secure technological solutions that empower our teams to build, deploy, and operate software with confidence. Your responsibilities will include supporting critical engineering capabilities through installation, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and technical support, all while embodying Starbucks' guiding principles. You will play a key role in enabling fast and dependable delivery pipelines, enhancing system reliability through observability and automation, and building secure infrastructure aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that impact millions of customers and partners worldwide.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

0-4 years of professional experience in software development

Strong foundational knowledge of distributed systems, networking (TCP/IP, DNS/routing), and databases (SQL/NoSQL)

Experience with automation and scripting in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or C/C++

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, build, and release automation tools

Understanding of information security principles and secure configuration practices

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Responsibilities

Support development teams by enabling efficient, reliable build and release processes

Implement and enhance service monitoring, telemetry, and high-availability operational support

Automate solutions across the environment to improve reliability and efficiency

Build and maintain secure, compliant infrastructure aligned with security standards and policies

Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and system performance optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and resilient systems

Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes
