Ledgent Technology is seeking a Programmer Analyst – Financial Applications to support and enhance Aderant-based financial systems within a Microsoft/.NET technology environment.
This position partners closely with Finance and Accounting teams to maintain stable, reliable financial applications while delivering enhancements, automation, reporting, and integrations. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to longer-term initiatives involving cloud migration and data platform modernization.
About the Role
As a Programmer Analyst – Financial Applications, you will serve as a key technical partner to Finance. You will combine application support, troubleshooting, configuration, development, reporting, and automation to ensure financial systems meet business requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience with Aderant financial applications, .NET development, SQL, PowerShell, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies. You should be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and translating technical issues into practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Aderant & Financial Systems Support
Serve as a primary technical resource supporting Aderant financial systems.
Manage application configuration, reporting, integrations, and enhancements.
Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to resolve issues affecting billing, invoicing, collections, cash application, and rate management.
Troubleshoot application defects, system issues, and data inconsistencies.
Support configuration changes and functional enhancements based on business requirements.
Application Development & Enhancement
Design, develop, and support .NET-based applications using C# and Visual Basic.
Develop targeted UI enhancements and functional improvements for existing financial applications.
Build and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
Support application logic and financial reporting requirements.
Use PowerShell to automate operational and application-support tasks.
Develop workflow automation and reporting solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Support integrations between Aderant and third-party applications.
Testing & Continuous Improvement
Perform testing for application enhancements, configuration changes, and integrations.
Monitor application performance and respond to technical issues.
Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Document application configurations, technical changes, and support procedures.
Participate in modernization initiatives, including future cloud migration and data architecture improvements.
Required Technical Skills
Experience supporting Aderant financial systems.
Familiarity with Aderant Design Studio, Classic, Framework, or related components is preferred.
Strong experience with .NET development.
Proficiency in C# and Visual Basic.
Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
PowerApps
Power Automate
Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SSRS or enterprise reporting environments.
Exposure to ETL tools such as SSIS or Alteryx.
Experience supporting financial or professional-services applications.
Experience working with application integrations.
Exposure to cloud migration or modern data architecture initiatives.

Work Environment
This is a fully remote position. Occasional in-office visits or travel may be required depending on business needs.
The role may involve responding to time-sensitive application issues and collaborating with Finance, Accounting, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $81,000 – $128,500 annually.
Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, professional experience, technical skills, and overall qualifications.
