About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join MANTECH's dynamic team in Fort Meade, MD. This role is pivotal in driving the development and deployment of cutting-edge statistical analytics and cloud-based data solutions aimed at national security objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts, intelligence analysts, and customers to transform complex data into actionable insights. You will play a key role in guiding analytic development from initial prototype to scalable production, laying the groundwork for integrating machine learning into mission-critical operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives through innovative data science techniques and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in quantitative or technical disciplines, with extensive experience in data science and analytics. A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience is required, along with proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in fields such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining data workflows within secure cloud environments is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with advanced statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and MLOps practices will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Execute and contribute technical expertise across multiple data science projects within a secure cloud environment, ensuring the development of high-quality analytic solutions.

Collaborate with customers, intelligence analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to define analytic requirements aligned with mission objectives.

Prototype and transition data pipelines and advanced analytics into scalable, operational environments, supporting mission readiness and efficiency.

Apply statistical modeling, data analysis, and graph-based approaches to complex datasets, preparing workflows for future machine learning applications.

Manage individual analytic tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality technical work that meets project goals and client expectations.

Support the continuous improvement of data science methodologies and contribute to the evolution of the team’s analytics capabilities.
