Job Title: Embedded EngineerJob Description
This role involves a dynamic mix of activities, including 10% coding, 20% requirements gathering, and 70% testing and debugging. The primary focus is on writing test plans and requirements, contributing to the complete development lifecycle of embedded software.
Responsibilities
Author and review software for embedded systems.
Debug embedded C software to identify and resolve issues.
Investigate root causes for problem reports.
Utilize development tools for analyzing software performance, including stack and memory usage, timing margins, and structural coverage of verification.
Create test strategies for software requirements.
Support the investigation of software verification failures.
Assist with audits by customers and government authorities.
Essential Skills
7+ years of embedded experience.
Proficiency in embedded software and embedded C.
Experience in the aerospace or medical device industry, including knowledge of DO-178 or IEC standards.
Understanding of microcontroller architectures and operational principles.
Strong skills in C language.
Familiarity with version control tools and concepts.
Experience with lifecycle management tools, including requirements, tracing validation and verification, and problem reporting.
Ability to debug embedded systems using simulations.
Capability to sustain software development for projects spanning several years.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical, computer, software engineering, or computer science.
Knowledge of MISRA C standards.
Understanding of power electronics principles.
Ability to read schematics.
Skill in preparing presentations and leading audits.
Work Environment
The role is primarily onsite, with the flexibility to work remotely one day a week.

This is a Contract position based out of Twinsburg, OH.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $75.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
