Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain accessible, user-centered interfaces for complex enterprise applications.
Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive, scalable, and reliable web-based solutions.
Develop front-end and full-stack functionality using ASP.NET MVC 5 and C# within an established enterprise environment.
Design and document technical solutions, workflows, and application enhancements.
Build and integrate interfaces with internal and external systems through RESTful APIs.
Support application testing, defect resolution, release activities, and production deployments.
Analyze existing applications and workflows to improve usability, accessibility, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Partner with business stakeholders, UX teams, developers, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
Requirements
5-8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on front-end and UI development.
Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience developing applications using C# and ASP.NET MVC 5.
Experience supporting full-stack .NET applications in a Windows environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including data modeling, stored procedures, views, and T-SQL development.
Experience implementing web accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and Section 508 compliance.
Hands-on experience with ARIA, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, and assistive technology testing.
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns, and core computer science fundamentals.
Experience consuming and developing RESTful APIs.
Experience with unit testing and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex UI issues, browser compatibility challenges, and application defects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with DevExpress UI components and reporting tools.
Exposure to usability testing, accessibility reviews, or accessibility audits.
Familiarity with design and prototyping platforms such as Figma or Adobe XD.
Experience supporting higher education, student information, or financial aid systems.
Experience modernizing or maintaining legacy .NET applications.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Accessibility, UX, or human-centered design certifications such as IAAP CPACC or WAS.
Experience advocating for accessibility and user-centered practices across technical and business teams.

Education
