Roles
We are hiring three software engineers at different levels:
Junior Software Engineer: an early-career developer who grows under the guidance of the team lead and senior engineers.
Mid-Level Software Engineer: an experienced individual contributor who independently owns features and integrations.
Software Engineering Team Lead: a senior, hands-on engineer who leads the team and sets technical direction.
About the Roles
Our Client is expanding its software team to design, build, and maintain the software that powers its precision manufacturing operations. Working within the operations and technology team, these roles support manufacturing workflows, internal business systems, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced industrial setting where quality, uptime, and accuracy are non-negotiable.
Technical Environment
The stack is built on .NET (C#) and related Microsoft technologies, RESTful APIs, and SQL Server. The team integrates web-based applications with manufacturing systems, ERP platforms, and connected shop-floor technologies, within a regulated environment subject to ITAR and DFARS requirements.
What You'll Do
Implement, test, and maintain features across web-based applications and internal business tools using .NET (C#).
Write clean, well-documented SQL queries and stored procedures to manage data in relational databases.
Consume existing RESTful APIs and help build new endpoints that connect manufacturing systems and web front ends.
Troubleshoot and fix bugs, taking on more ownership over time.
Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards.
Maintain documentation of code, configurations, and software changes.
What We're Looking For
2 to 15 years of professional or academic software development experience (internship or co-op counts).
Foundational knowledge of .NET and C#, including object-oriented programming principles.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Exposure to building or consuming RESTful APIs.
Genuine interest in a manufacturing environment and willingness to learn shop-floor context.
Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Shared Responsibilities
Manufacturing Systems Support
Support shop-floor software tools, including data collection, production tracking, and reporting.
Help integrate software with manufacturing equipment, IIoT devices, and connected shop-floor technologies.
Work with operations to improve processes through software automation and tooling.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Maintain documentation of code, system configurations, and software changes.
Support compliance with cybersecurity and data-handling requirements, including ITAR and DFARS.
Work cooperatively across departments in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, or similar cloud/DevOps environments.
ERP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Epicor, or similar).
IIoT devices, sensors, or networked manufacturing equipment.
Version control such as Git.
Cybersecurity frameworks including NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC.
