About The Role

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer based in Maryland Heights, MO, and/or Hazelwood, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for developing software for the F-15 Mission Planning systems, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of critical aerospace software solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense systems, collaborating with a team of talented professionals dedicated to delivering innovative and reliable software products. The successful candidate will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from coding and testing to troubleshooting and integration, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets stringent military standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, data science, or related disciplines. Candidates with a minimum of 1+ year of experience in software development, particularly with Git and Object-Oriented Programming, are preferred. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential, along with experience working in collaborative development environments. While a Bachelor's Degree is required, candidates with extensive hands-on experience, including 6+ years of related work or 10+ years of relevant experience, will also be considered. Proficiency in Javascript and familiarity with full software development lifecycle processes will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, maintain, and unit test code utilizing programming languages such as C#, Javascript, and SQL within integrated development environments.

Create and maintain software components and integrate them into fully functional systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.

Select, tailor, and deploy appropriate development processes and tools to optimize efficiency and quality.

Perform troubleshooting and defect resolution to maintain software reliability and performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and implement effective solutions to technical challenges.

Work under general supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.

Integrate and compile software components into builds, conducting limited testing in target environments as needed.

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and other related duties to support project objectives and compliance standards.
