About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (.NET/C#) to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting modern software applications.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with 5+ years of professional development experience, strong expertise in C# and .NET, and a solid understanding of web application development, APIs, databases, and modern software engineering practices.
This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to work with a collaborative team while contributing to meaningful software solutions from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
Build and maintain scalable web applications, backend services, and RESTful APIs.
Develop clean, maintainable, well-tested, and efficient code following established software engineering best practices.
Work with SQL Server and relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries and stored procedures.
Participate in application architecture, technical design, code reviews, and solution planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production problems.
Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other technical and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, coding standards, application performance, and overall system reliability.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that can enhance the organization's software platforms.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
Experience with .NET Core / modern .NET and/or the .NET Framework.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and design patterns.
Experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
Strong experience with SQL Server or another relational database.
Experience with Git or other source-control systems.
Understanding of software development methodologies, testing, debugging, and deployment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a remote, collaborative engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.
Experience with ASP.NET Core.
Experience with React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or another modern front-end framework.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
Experience with Docker, containers, microservices, or distributed systems.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
