Title: Senior Engineer, Software Engineering
Pay Rate: $80 per hour
Location: Weston, FL, 33331
Duration: 06 months
Type – W2 contract (No C2C)
Can be remote, but only EST zone, because the person will have to work together with employees in Europe. Base schedule is 40 hours/week
Senior software engineer shall develop foundational software components for client's Robotics and Enabling Technology applications. The scope of the work includes research, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software components in the context of clients’s clinical application architectures. The software components are either shared across multiple applications or specific to Total Hip and Total Knee surgery applications.
Develop source code for shared biomechanics and planning components that integrate into the established architectures of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative clinical applications.
Participate in SDLC activities for the components, including code review, documentation, integration, testing, defect management, and code analysis.
Components are expected to be feature complete such that they meet requirements and/or design specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Solid background working with C++ and Qt in a Linux environment.
Experience working with 3D geometry and image processing algorithms involving complex 3D calculations. Experience with developing surgical planning systems is desired.
Proficiency with integrated development environments (IDEs) and build systems, with minimal supervision.
Experience working with revision control systems and following CI/CD development practices.
Familiarity with unit testing as part of the development workflow.
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities. Determines systems software design requirements. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
