About this role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 3-5+ years of experience to join a fast-growing AI healthcare startup and own projects that span the entire stack. You'll be building greenfield products that automate the healthcare recruiting pipeline — from sourcing to onboarding — at a company that's already powering thousands of candidate interactions monthly and scaling to millions. You should have experience at both an early-stage VC-backed startup and a larger tech company, bringing best practices without being rigid. This is a high-ownership role where you'll work closely with the founding team, ship quickly, and see your work in production with real feedback loops the next day.

What will you be doing?

Own and deliver greenfield projects across the full stack (backend, infrastructure, and frontend) powering Take2's new product suite

Evolve and scale the backend architecture as the platform grows from thousands to millions of candidate interactions

Build and ship end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first environment on serverless AWS infrastructure

Collaborate directly with the Director of Engineering and founding team with extremely short feedback loops and high autonomy

Help establish engineering standards and technical culture as a key early member of an 11-person team

Why candidates should join

Take2 builds AI agents that automate the entire healthcare recruiting pipeline — from screening interviews to license verifications to job offers. They already power thousands of candidate conversations monthly and are scaling to millions.

Backed by Human Capital (a $3B fund behind SpaceX) with a $19M Series A raised in under a month. Zero to $4M revenue in 8 months and on track for a Series B by year-end. Board advisors include ex-CHROs of Google, HP, Visa, and Disney.

Senior full-stack (backend-leaning) role with significant greenfield ownership. $180K–$220K base + competitive equity. Hybrid in NYC (Mon–Thu) with a tight 3-round interview process.

What to ask candidates

Are you able to work in New York City and come into the office Monday through Thursday?

Walk us through your experience at both an early-stage startup (Series A or lower) and a larger-scale company — what did you own and how did you handle the differences in pace and process?

Describe a greenfield project you built end-to-end across the full stack (backend, infra, and frontend) — what was the tech stack and how did you make architecture decisions with ambiguity?

Can the candidate be on-site? If not, is the candidate willing to relocate?

What is their salary expectation?

How actively is this candidate exploring new opportunities?
