About The Role
Embark on a transformative journey as a Liquid Financing Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Barclays. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions that support the bank’s liquidity and financing operations. You will operate within a dynamic, global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams across regions to meet the evolving needs of a worldwide customer base. Your deep technical expertise will serve as a subject matter resource, providing Level 3 support and working closely with business partners and peer teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in computer science or engineering, with extensive experience in full stack development. Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, EJB, JDBC, JPA, Servlets, JSP, Struts, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server is essential. Experience working with Spring Framework, JBoss, and GridGain is highly valued. Knowledge of messaging technologies such as JMS, EMS, and MQ, as well as XML, is also required. Additional skills include a solid understanding of design patterns, Agile and Lean methodologies, and front-end frameworks like Ext JS, AngularJS, and TreeGrid. Familiarity with Spring MVC, Spring Integration, JBoss Drools, Quartz Scheduler, and MS SQL Server will be advantageous. Proficiency with build and version control tools such as Maven and GitLab DUO is preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Interpret user requirements and independently translate them into robust, deployable production code, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration.
Participate in code reviews, promote best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing among team members.
Stay informed of emerging industry trends and innovations, contributing to the organization’s technology communities to enhance technical capabilities.
Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Implement comprehensive unit testing to ensure code quality, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
