Java / React Developer
Location: Lansing, MI
Pay Rate: $55–$60/hour on W-2
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java / React Developer to support the development and maintenance of enterprise applications. This is a hands-on full-stack development role working within an Agile team to design, develop, test, and deploy modern business applications.
The position requires a strong Java/Spring backend background combined with hands-on React.js experience. The developer will also work closely with UI/UX resources to build responsive, accessible user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex enterprise applications.
Develop backend applications and services using Java 8, Spring Framework, JPA, and Hibernate.
Build modern, responsive frontend applications using React.js.
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to translate designs and requirements into functional interfaces.
Develop and maintain applications within a JBoss Enterprise environment.
Work with Oracle databases, including Oracle 12c and 19c.
Participate in Agile planning, development, testing, code reviews, and deployment activities.
Collaborate with project managers, application owners, technical leads, and other developers.
Troubleshoot application issues and implement reliable solutions.
Develop clean, maintainable code aligned with established development standards.
Support application enhancements and ongoing maintenance activities.
Contribute to testing and quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
Work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative development team.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience programming complex systems using Java and development tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio.
4+ years of Java 8 development experience.
5+ years of experience with the Spring Framework.
5+ years of JPA/Hibernate development experience.
5+ years working within Agile development environments.
4+ years working with Oracle 12c and/or Oracle 19c.
4+ years of React.js development experience building responsive user interfaces.
4+ years of development experience within a JBoss Enterprise environment.
Strong full-stack application development and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively across technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Frontend development experience with WCAG 2.1 or higher accessibility standards.
4+ years of experience with JUnit.
Experience with Tiles.
4+ years of experience with reporting technologies such as JasperReports.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
