Job Summary
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for owning, maintaining, and evolving machine-learning pricing algorithms that set and optimize prices across products, customers, and channels to drive profitable growth in a B2B environment. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for pricing, sales, category management, and finance.
Duties & Responsibilities ML Model Coding, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement
Own pricing ML models end-to-end: design, build, validate, deploy, and monitor algorithms (elasticity estimation, segmentation, discount optimization, list/target/contract price recommendations).
Productionize & maintain pipelines for data prep, feature engineering, training, inference, and monitoring (drift, stability, explainability, governance).
Run experiments: design A/B and quasi-experimental tests; define KPIs and guardrails; analyze impact on revenue, margin, and win rate.
Data stewardship: ensure data quality, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
Uplift analytics: build dashboards for model health and price realization; document methods and assumptions; champion best practices in code quality and reproducible research.
Scale MLOps: implement CI/CD, model registries, automated tests, alerting, and rollout strategies (shadow, canary, phased).
Collaboration and Business Partnership
Partner with finance teams to understand business requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions.
Partner with the business: translate complex findings into clear narratives and recommendations for Pricing, Sales, Category Management, and Finance.
Manager Responsibilities
Provide training, direction, and assistance to data analysts or BI developers, overseeing workloads, performance, and professional development.
Participate in recruiting skilled BI professionals and training new hires.
Provide guidance on technical methods, problem-solving, and career growth within the analytics domain.

Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job, such as data entry, messaging, call logs, data notations, queue updates, batching, or other job & office functions and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
MLOps stack: familiarity with feature stores, model registries (e.g., MLflow), and real-time/batch serving patterns.
Exposure to Spark (Fabric Lakehouse/Synapse or Snowpark) and orchestration tools (Airflow/Fabric pipelines).
Strength in visualization and stakeholder-facing communication (dashboards, memos).
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Math) or equivalent practical experience.
5 or more years in Data Science or Applied ML with meaningful ownership of pricing or revenue-management algorithms in B2B contexts.
Hands-on experience with price elasticity modeling, customer/product segmentation, quote/contract pricing, and price realization analytics.
Core skills: Python, SQL, and Git; solid experiment design (A/B tests, CUPED, diff-in-diff, uplift modeling) and statistical rigor.
Experience deploying models to production in cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake) and working with dbt for transformations.
Comfort with CI/CD practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and code review/testing.
Technical Stack
Python packages: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, scipy, statsmodels, xgboost, lightgbm, pyspark, matplotlib, plotly, mlflow, pydantic, pytest.
Data & cloud: Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Synapse), Snowflake, ANSI SQL, dbt.
MLOps & DevOps: Git, GitHub/GitLab or Azure DevOps, CI/CD, model registry, experiment tracking, containerization (Docker optional).
Analytics & BI: Power BI (or equivalent).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This full-time position requires approximately 40 hours per week and involves regular physical and sensory activity, including:
Bending, lifting, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours), with intermittent standing and walking throughout the shift
Continuous use of fingers, hands, and arms for computer and office-related tasks
Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners (up to 8 hours daily)
Regular verbal communication via phone and in-person interactions (up to 6 hours daily)
