Forward Deployed AI Engineer – Food & Beverage Services

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who combines deep business/domain expertise with strong hands-on technology and AI skills. This is not a traditional engineering role—the FDE works directly with business and executive stakeholders to identify problems, architect solutions, build prototypes, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Requirements

12+ years of combined industry/functional and technology experience.

Strong Food & Beverage Services domain experience; experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing/Operations, Finance/Banking, or Commodities is also relevant.

Proven experience leading business transformation initiatives and working directly with senior/executive stakeholders.

Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced/startup environments with strong ownership and minimal oversight.

Experience delivering AI-first solutions within 90 days, including:

LLM integration (OpenAI, Claude)

RAG pipelines

GenAI workflows

AI agents / multi-agent orchestration (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen)

Prompt engineering and basic fine-tuning

Strong Python development skills + at least one additional programming language.

Strong SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, analytics/BI experience.

Experience with Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable.

Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and enterprise security knowledge.

Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, ERP/CRM, or domain-specific platforms.

Strong communication skills—able to translate business problems into technical solutions and explain technical trade-offs to executives.
