Role Overview

Join the Project Kuiper team to design and build low-latency, highly reliable flight computer software for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite avionics. You will develop embedded systems, write low-level drivers, and collaborate directly with hardware engineering teams to enable autonomous control and power management.

Key Responsibilities

Develop low-level embedded software using C++, Rust, or modern languages.

Write device drivers and applications to interface with hardware over I2C, SPI, CAN, and UART.

Support hardware bring-up, integration, and board-level testing.

Design software for satellite power management, command & telemetry, and autonomous systems.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of professional, non-internship software development experience.

2+ years of experience in system design/architecture (reliability, scaling, design patterns).

Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years across the full software development lifecycle (code reviews, testing, build systems, CI/CD).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Export Control: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $143,700 – $194,400 USD / year

Total Package: Includes sign-on bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health insurance.
