Position Overview

*We are seeking experienced Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) with strong hands-on expertise in full-stack .NET development and Microsoft Azure.

*This role requires a highly technical, client-facing engineer who can rapidly understand complex business and technical requirements, design practical solutions, and build and deploy scalable enterprise applications.

*The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with strong expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, full-stack development, APIs, enterprise integrations, and Azure cloud technologies.

*The successful candidate will be comfortable working in fast-paced and ambiguous environments while maintaining high standards for architecture, security, scalability, and software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Client-Facing Technical Discovery & Solution Delivery:

*Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

*Participate in technical discovery sessions, architecture discussions, and solution design workshops.

*Analyze complex business and technical challenges and develop practical implementation approaches.

*Clearly communicate technical trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and solution recommendations to stakeholders.

*Hands-On Full-Stack .NET Development

*Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core.

*Build scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.

*Develop and support full-stack applications across frontend and backend components.

*Write clean, maintainable, secure, and production-quality code.

*Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and performance issues.

*Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

*Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineering

*Design, build, deploy, and support applications and services on Microsoft Azure.

*Develop cloud-native and scalable application architectures.

*Work with Azure application hosting, storage, networking, security, monitoring, and related cloud services.

*Support automated deployment and CI/CD pipelines.

*Ensure applications meet requirements for scalability, reliability, performance, and security.

Enterprise Integration & Solution Architecture:

*Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems, applications, databases, and third-party platforms.

*Design and develop secure RESTful APIs and web services.

*Work with distributed systems, data services, authentication, authorization, and enterprise identity solutions.

*Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

*Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to key technical design decisions.

Forward-Deployed Engineering & Collaboration:

*Work directly with stakeholders and technical teams in a client-facing delivery environment.

*Rapidly understand existing systems, technical constraints, and business priorities.

*Deliver working solutions quickly while maintaining production-quality engineering standards.

*Collaborate effectively with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.

*Support technical demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions.

Production Readiness & Engineering Excellence:

*Implement logging, monitoring, observability, and robust error-handling capabilities.

*Ensure appropriate security, access controls, auditability, and compliance requirements.

*Build automated tests and maintain strong software quality standards.

*Support performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.

*Develop reusable components, frameworks, and engineering patterns to improve delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

*10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

*Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.

*Extensive experience with ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core.

*Strong full-stack development experience, including frontend and backend development.

*Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.

*Strong experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.

*Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

*Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.

*Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

*Strong knowledge of CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

*Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance optimization skills.

*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders.

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Experience in a Forward Deployed Engineer, consulting, professional services, solutions engineering, or client-facing engineering role.

*Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and complex technology environments.

*Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology ecosystem.

*Experience with Azure DevOps.

*Experience with microservices and distributed application architectures.

*Experience with enterprise security, identity, authentication, and authorization.

*Experience integrating applications with enterprise platforms and systems.

*Knowledge of modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks.

*Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

*Experience with application monitoring, observability, logging, and production support.

*Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
