About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Structural to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and delivering software that supports framing and structural analysis, with an emphasis on turning complex engineering concepts into reliable product functionality. You will partner closely with product and customer success to define expected behavior, resolve customer needs, and help shape the technical direction of a growing team. The position calls for someone who can move from prototype to shippable MVP while bringing structural engineering insight to the development process.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design and implement algorithms and systems for framing and structural analysis, from prototypes to shippable MVP.

Utilize AI-assisted workflows to quickly build software while maintaining correctness and behavior of the code.

Collaborate with product and customer success teams to define expected behavior and address customer needs.

Provide structural engineering insights to translate system mechanics into robust software solutions.

Develop tests to ensure reliability in edge cases and overall code quality.

Shape the technical direction of a new team and mentor future team members as the group expands.

Adapt to changing priorities as the team's focus evolves in an ambiguous environment.

Qualifications

3-5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in TypeScript.

Background in structural or mechanical engineering, either academic or professional.

Familiarity with computational geometry and mathematical modeling.

Proficient with modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows.

Comfortable with ambiguity while working in a new and evolving team environment.

Strong communication skills to explain tradeoffs and decisions clearly.
