About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in the Pega Platform to join our Enterprise Platform Architecture team. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale workflow and AI solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will serve as a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA), bringing strong hands-on experience with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH), Pega GenAI capabilities, and enterprise application architecture. You will collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Additionally, you will establish technical standards, mentor development teams, and ensure best practices are followed across projects. This role is critical in shaping the future of our enterprise platform and AI-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 6 years of experience in software application development and maintenance.
Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) certification is highly preferred.
8+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using the Pega Platform.
Strong expertise with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH), including Next-Best-Action strategies and real-time decisioning.
Experience with Pega AI, including GenAI, Knowledge Buddy, Agentic AI, and AI-powered workflows.
In-depth knowledge of Pega Infinity architecture, Case Management, Decisioning, and Business Process Management (BPM).
Proficiency in integrating Pega applications with enterprise systems via REST APIs, Kafka, JMS, SOAP, and microservices.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and making architecture decisions.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Design, architect, and deliver enterprise-grade applications leveraging the Pega Platform to meet business needs.
Serve as the technical lead for complex Pega implementations across multiple business domains, ensuring best practices and high-quality standards.
Develop and implement AI-powered solutions utilizing Pega GenAI, Knowledge Buddy, Agentic AI, and related capabilities to enhance decisioning and workflow automation.
Build and optimize Next-Best-Action strategies using Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Lead solution architecture, conduct application design reviews, and oversee code reviews to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Create reusable frameworks, components, and enterprise design standards to promote consistency and efficiency across projects.
Integrate Pega applications with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, messaging, and event-driven architectures to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
Drive CI/CD implementation, DevOps best practices, automated testing, and release management to enhance deployment frequency and reliability.
Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting of complex production issues and critical incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
Mentor and coach developers, Senior System Architects, and System Architects on Pega best practices and architectural standards.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with strategic goals.
Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards.
Stay current with emerging Pega capabilities, AI technologies, and industry best practices to continually improve solutions and processes.
