Join a distributed team as a Freelance Software Engineer focused on building and launching user-facing features for a modern web application. You will collaborate closely with design and backend engineers, taking ownership of frontend architecture decisions and contributing to the evolution of a shared component library. Deliverables
Develop and maintain production-ready web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
Implement and optimize user-facing features with modern CSS and design system components
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate REST or GraphQL APIs
Enhance web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
Contribute to the shared component library and frontend architecture decisions
Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Requirements
2–5 years of experience building production web applications with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS
Proficiency with Next.js or similar frameworks for server-side rendering and routing
Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs
Familiarity with Node.js and MongoDB is preferred
Strong understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility best practices
Experience working with design systems and component libraries
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in writing
Comfortable collaborating in a distributed, remote team environment
