The Role
- Design, implement, and operate the network control plane for a global telecommunications service spanning space and terrestrial networks.
- Develop routing and forwarding, traffic engineering, and SDN technologies for a high-throughput, low-latency broadband network.
- Build highly-available software to drive networking control plane operations on physical and remote nodes.
- Define and automate processes for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Ensure operational excellence for control plane services, including tool enablement and process refinement.
- Develop routing control plane software for network nodes using C and Rust.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- 5+ years of experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
