About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on developing advanced machine learning solutions that improve prediction accuracy and operational decision-making in aviation-related environments. The engineer will work closely with a small, innovative team to turn historical data into predictive systems and solve complex, open-ended technical problems. This is a hands-on opportunity to help shape next-generation AI capabilities that support operational efficiency and real-world impact.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,400 – $251,600 annually

Responsibilities

Build next-generation machine learning models for new product offerings

Improve existing models to enhance operational efficiency

Leverage historical data to create predictive systems

Collaborate with a small, innovative team to generate ideas

Solve open-ended problems in aviation intelligence

Directly impact aviation operations by enhancing prediction accuracy

Qualifications

Degree in STEM with 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience

Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Strong knowledge of Python

Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch

Experience working with complex data types such as time series and images

Ability to work in an agile development environment
