About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II, Ads - Response Prediction to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will focus on developing and deploying machine learning solutions that improve advertising performance through better response prediction. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to turn ambiguous modeling challenges into clear technical directions and measurable business outcomes. The position calls for strong analytical rigor, scalable ML expertise, and the ability to communicate findings that support sound decision-making across the team.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $154,000 – $162,500 annually

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions for the ads organization

Translate ambiguous modeling problems into defined ML research directions

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to align on business needs

Enhance operational efficiency through model and algorithm refinement

Publish and present findings, contributing to the team's technical rigor

Qualifications

Graduate degree, such as a master's or PhD, in machine learning, statistics, computer science, or a related field

Strong programming skills in data manipulation, including SQL, Spark, and Pandas, along with ML tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with diverse teams

1-2 years of industry experience in machine learning with large datasets preferred

Knowledge of sequential modeling and Transformer architecture preferred

Experience building large-scale online recommendation systems preferred
