Senior Software Engineer, Digital Twin Platform
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Digital Twin Platform to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will focus on building and operating the core systems that power real-time product understanding at scale. You will develop the data ingestion, processing, and serving capabilities needed to support a reliable digital twin environment across the business. Working closely with machine learning engineers, computer vision engineers, product teams, and data scientists, you will help take models and data pipelines from development into production while solving complex challenges across mapping, inventory, logistics, and computer vision.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $199,000 – $210,000 annually
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate platforms for real-time product understanding on store shelves
Develop data ingestion, processing, and serving systems to create a reliable digital twin
Collaborate with machine learning engineers, computer vision engineers, product teams, and data scientists to transition models and data pipelines to production
Tackle ambiguous, large-scale challenges involving mapping, inventory, logistics, and computer vision
Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within the team
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale production systems
Proficient in at least one backend programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or Go, and experienced with SQL
Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
Proven track record of shipping reliable, maintainable production software with a focus on testing and observability
