About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Payments Platform to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will focus on building and scaling the systems that power payments experiences across the organization’s platform. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that support business growth. The position calls for technical leadership, thoughtful architecture, and a strong ability to improve the foundations that enable teams to move faster and ship with quality.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business impact and refine engineering requirements

Architect and implement complex features with a focus on performance optimization

Advance engineering processes and technical foundations in partnership with other teams

Identify patterns for systemic improvements to streamline development and enhance quality

Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience

1+ year of experience in Payments/Fintech preferred

Proven expertise in designing and implementing high-scale payment systems

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Demonstrated technical leadership in project teams and mentoring engineers

Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
