About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Topography to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on building and refining software that gathers, normalizes, and prepares topology data for use in provisioning and scheduling systems. The engineer will also help improve GPU communication and scheduling performance for large-scale workloads in a cutting-edge hardware environment. This is a highly collaborative position that bridges software development, distributed systems, and infrastructure needs to support new product launches and operational efficiency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $184,000 – $287,500 annually

Responsibilities

Build a system for gathering topology information from diverse sources

Aggregate and normalize collected data for use in provisioning and scheduling systems

Contribute directly to the open-source project

Optimize GPU communication for large-scale workloads with cutting-edge hardware

Ensure efficient scheduling capabilities for new product launches

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Proficient in Go or another systems programming language

Experienced with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and Linux

Strong design capabilities for interfaces between logic and data models

Familiar with networking, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale systems

Best practices in testing, debugging, and documentation
