About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Health Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will drive advanced analytics efforts that turn complex healthcare data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. The position partners closely with health services researchers and analysts to build models, evaluate hypotheses, and support data-informed product and business outcomes. It also plays a key role in managing operational data needs, documenting analytical work, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead collaborative efforts with health services researchers and analysts to derive insights from extensive datasets

Develop solutions for strategic business challenges using advanced modeling and statistical analysis techniques

Utilize SQL and Snowflake for data extraction and management, documenting all source code and algorithms

Test and communicate research hypotheses effectively to support product offerings

Manage complex operational data requests and generate ad-hoc queries with SAS and R

Evaluate potential data analytic vendors and tools

Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries with administrative claims data

Strong SQL programming skills required; experience with Snowflake preferred

Proficient in statistical analysis tools like SAS and R

Demonstrated analytical reasoning and decision-making skills

Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects under minimal supervision

Advanced knowledge of healthcare, health policy, and related issues
